Christopher Earl Brown

October 21, 1960 ~ December 12, 2017 (age 57) 57 Years Old

 Christopher Earl Brown, 57 of Nicholasville, Kentucky and a longtime resident of Burlington VT passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends Dec. 12, 2017 after a courageous battle with ALS. Chris was born in Hartford, CT. to Carol Ann (Sabatini) and Earl Merton Brown on October 21, 1960. Chris made a lifelong commitment to family, the love and caring he provided for his family was inspirational. After high school Chris attended the job corps where he became student body president.  Chris was a member of the 131st engineers Army  Guards and retired after 20+ years. Chris also worked for Burlington Electric at the McNeil generating station. You could always count on a warm greeting and smile from Chris. He loved to have fun, he loved karaoke, camping and backyard fireside gatherings with his friends. He made many friends along his way. Chris loved to writing songs and poems beginning at a young age and never stopped, he was gifted. Chris was a jack of all trades, a true do it yourselfer. He had a huge heart and a true sense of good. Chris would take a bullet for a stranger. Those who really knew Chris know he is a true hero.  Chris is predeceased by his mom and dad, Carol and Earl along with his grandparents from both sides. He is survived by his wife Joanne, his son Christopher Brown II and his daughter Stormie Brown. He is also survived by his brother George Brown, his wife Cindy (Paluba) Brown and their sons TJ and Jason Brown and also his step children Sheila Edwards, Sean Cole and Paula Cole along with six grandchildren and cousins. His family will be holding a service on Wednesday, Dec. 18, in Vermont. A local celebration of life for Chris will be held in January. Details to follow.
