Terry Belcher Obituary

Terry Foster Belcher, 81, left his earthly home on Thursday, Feb. 4 at Baptist Health after a brief illness.  He was the widower of Monet Vanover Keathley Belcher since 2013.   Terry was one of nine children born to the late Chester and Lavancie Rue Belcher.  He was a retired Plumbing Inspector for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and member of the 452 Plumber and Pipe Fitters of Kentucky. He had a passion for farming and raising tobacco and was often referred to as the “Windshield Farmer” because he enjoyed riding around and looking at all the farms in the county.  He loved watching Cincinnati Reds Baseball and reading.  He leaves to cherish his memory step children Beverly Quinn, husband Darin, Tom Keathley, wife Madonna, John Keathely, Chett Keathely, wife Ute, grandchildren Ronald McCoy, Thomas, Dalton, Timothy and Lukas Keathely, Robert and John Quinn, MacKenzie Palmer, and Oliver Boyd as well as great grandchild Lilly McCoy, brother Roger Belcher and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.  He was preceded in death by siblings James Belcher, Betty Hager, Bonnie Hager, Imogene Belcher, Harold, Earl, and Ronald Belcher.  A Remembrance Service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, Feb.9, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Wheeler officiating.  Terry will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Monet in Maple Grove Cemetery.  Honoring him as pallbearers will be his 8 grandsons.  Honorary Bearers will be MacKenzie Palmer, Martin Lowry, and Larry Schmidt.  The family will greet friends on Monday, beginning at 4:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM at the funeral home. “I  believe a man’s greatest possession is his dignity and that no calling bestows this more abundantly than farming.”  According to CDC requirements masks will be required and social distancing observed, with no food or drinks allowed.  You may also request a rose to be placed for his service should you not be able or are uncomfortable being out during this pandemic due to health reasons.  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home values nothing more than the loyalty and trust given to us by the Belcher family to care for Terry and his arrangements.
