Robert Glenn Figg, 73, loving husband of Nancy Jackson Figg for 51 years and devoted father of Stacy Lynn Hager, left his earthly home surrounded by his family on Thursday Dec. 3, 2020. Glenn was one of four children of the late Russell Robert and Ruby Baker Figg. He was born in Wilmore, KY on Oct. 22, 1947, and was a US Army veteran, having served from 1966 to 1968. He retired from Komatsu having been a Diesel mechanic technician for over 45 years. He was well known in his house as “Mr. Fix It” as he could repair any item from household appliances to his grandchildren’s toys. A favorite saying of his was “ I can fix anything, but weld water to a fence post or mend a broken heart”. A green thumb gave him the ability to raise a big garden that he enjoyed sharing with others. Glenn will fondly be remembered by his wife, daughter, and grandchildren Seth Alan and Clayton Eles Hager, brother Howard Figg, wife Patti, as well as cousin Karen Jo Carroll and many additional cousins, nieces and nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by a sister Alma Jean Phillips and brother Gary Figg. He was a member of Bethel Christian Church, and Rev. Bill Bales will officiate at his Graveside Memorial Service, which will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery on Wednesday, Dec 9, at 2:30 PM with Military Honors. “Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave and impossible to forget”. In lieu of flowers donations suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Bethel Christian Church Building Fund. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home values nothing more than the trust and friendship of the Figg Family.
