Nan Brown Obituary

Nan Seal Brown, 64, moved to her eternal home on Thursday, March 14, from her earthly home surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness.  Nan was born January 18, 1960, in Lexington Kentucky, being one of the five children of the late Bruce and Geraldine Jarratt Seal.  She was a former employee of Jessamine County Board of Education, working as a secretary at JCTC. Nan was a member of Nicholasville Methodist Church, where she shared her beautiful singing voice in the choir and as a soloist.  She was enjoyed by many at Sunday Services, as well as in many special Christmas and Easter performances. Nan will be greatly missed by her church family, not only for her singing, but also for her infectious smile and great hugs.  Nan was a bundle of energy with a flair for making floral arrangements for weddings and interior decorating.  Her family spoke of how great a cook she was and how she liked to bake.  She leaves all these memories along with many more with her children Chad Buffin, companion Tiffany Kemp, Jessica Trent, husband Melvin, Lyndsey Buffin, companion Heath Beckner, and Tanner Brown, wife Brooke, grandchildren Harper Trent, Jackson Trent, Bryson Trent, Riah Trent and Everliegh Brown. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Cheryl Buffin, husband Jay, Mary Seal, and Jerri Seal, and brother Scott Seal, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and a host of friends.  A Remembrance Service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday March 20, at the Nicholasville Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Thompson officiating.  Her family will greet friends beginning at 4:00 PM on Tuesday and ending at 8:00 PM at the church.  In accordance to her wishes the family has chosen cremation for her final disposition.  “It’s in the quiet I will miss you most, when my mind has the chance to wander and my heart has a moment to remember.”  Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust and loyalty given to us to care for Nan and her family.
