Mary Cecil Obituary

Mary Lou Johns Cecil, 99,  passed away to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 19, 2020.  She was the loving and caring wife for 75 years to her husband Robert Cecil.  She was born Nov. 6, 1920, to the late Zeptha and Bertha Johns of Wilmore.  She was a member of the Wilmore United Methodist Church and the Women’s Gospel Mission.  Always abiding by her Christian beliefs, she will be missed and is now an angel with the Lord. An avid gardener and quilter she enjoyed her retired years.  She is also survived by her children Jame R. Cecil, Wilmore and daughter Joy Cecil Doyle, Lexington, a grandson Robert J. Doyle, wife Jessica, Nicholasville, granddaughter Kristy Sturgill ,husband Chad, Nicholasville, great grand children, Andrew, Aly, Bo, Noah, and Issac, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by three sisters  Rose, Margaret, and Irene, five brothers Charles, Woodrow, William, Wesley and Manuel.  Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.  Honoring her as casket bearers will be Robert Doyle, Andrew Doyle, Adam Brumfield, Ben Hall, Barry Jackson, Bo Jouett, and James T.
