Lloyd Elwood Welch, III Obituary

Lloyd Elwood Welch III, 31, left his earthly home on Tuesday, July 28, at University of Kentucky Hospital. He was born in Lexington but was a life long resident of Jessamine County.  He was born May 21, 1989, to Lloyd Elwood Welch II and Jamie Ann Callahan,  He loved being outdoors and was a certified Brick Mason and liked working on horse farms but fishing was his favorite pastime.  Elwood was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.  He will be remembered by his mother and father as well as brother Justice Welch, partner Patrick Lawerence, sister Tamara Mathews, partner Dustin, Maternal grandfather James Callahan, nephews Jeremiah Wayne and Jace Anthony Mathews, his numerous aunts and uncles, and special friend Natasha  Miller.  He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Lloyd Elwood Sr. and Ada Henrietta Welch, and maternal grandparents Charles “Chuck” and Marilyn Drury.  The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until 12 noon at which time we will go to Maple Grove Cemetery for a Graveside Service and he will be laid to rest. Pallbearers will be Justice Welch, Patrick Lawrence, Bill and Tommy Welch, Charles Anthony Drury, and Mike Long.  Please note:  masks and social distancing are required. “ If ever there comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever”.  Hager and Cundiff Funeral Home values nothing more than the trust given to us to care for this young man.
