Elbert Peel, Jr.

Elbert Peel, Jr., 82, widower of Susan Angeline League Peel, joined her in their heavenly home on Friday, May 20, 2022.  He was a Jessamine County native, born on April 11, 1940, to the late Elbert, Sr. “Richard” and Daisy Warlow Peel.  He was a night watchman at Three Chimneys-Lark Hill Horse Farm who liked gardening in his free time.  Elbert was a member of Reality Church and enjoyed reading his Bible.  He leaves wonderful memories with his son Tim Peel, daughter Lois Bales, husband Mark, grandchildren Joshua Peel, wife Cheryl, Frankie Peel, Willie Elbert Glaze, Susan E. Peel, Linda Ann Glaze, and Sara Peel, great-grandchild Avery Peel, and sister Mary Cobb, husband Archie.  Besides his parents and his wife of 50 years, Elbert was preceded in death by his daughter Linda Peel, siblings Broaddus Peel, Lucy Cobb, Rose Canter, William Peel, Tommy Peel, Daniel Peel, Robert Peel, Earl Peel, and Nancy Burchum and by grandsons Timmy Peel, Jr. and Mark Allen Glaze.  Cremation was chosen, and no services are planned.  “God gives us each a gift of life to cherish from our birth. He gives us friends and those we love to share our days on earth. Then when our days on earth are done, He calls us to His side, to live with Him in happiness, where peace and love abide.” Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust placed in us to care for the Peel family at this difficult time.
