Burgin Gene Lowry, 77, joined his brother Billy in eternal rest on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Gene was born in Nicholasville on Christmas Eve in 1945 to the late Willie and Dorothy Rhinehimer Lowry. He stayed busy as a self-employed farm worker and enjoyed watching westerns on TV in his spare time. Gene attended the Living Hope Fellowship Church in Lexington. He leaves a lifetime of memories with his devoted sister, Helen Turner, husband Ernest, and a host of extended family members including several nieces and nephews. Gene will be remembered at a Graveside Service at 2:00 PM Friday, November 17, 2023 at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, officiated by Pastor Chris Rieber. “I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and summer days.” Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the loyalty and trust given to us to care for Gene and his family.
