Beverly Anita (Maddox) Switzer

Beverly Anita Maddox Switzer, 77, loving wife of 46 years to David Switzer, left her earthly home on Monday, May 18, surrounded by her family.  She was a native of Casey County, one of the six children of the late Allen Thomas and Hallie Pauline Carey Maddox.  Beverly was a Registered Nurse and former employee of Thomson Hood Veterans Center and Wesley Village.  Her favorite pastimes were NASCAR and UK Basketball.  In addition to her husband she will be fondly remembered by her children Jeff Brown, wife Christy, Dana Bowling, husband Nathan, Shawn Johnson, husband Bruce, and Tag Switzer, step children Jeff Switzer, wife Susie Beth,and Kathy Bradley, her 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.  Her childhood memories are left with sisters Linda Crace, Joanne Benedict, and Jeanie Hacker.  She was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Brown, great grandchild McKenzie Drickult, and brothers Gary and Buddy Maddox.  At her request the family has chosen cremation with a Graveside Remembrance to be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest in the near future.
