Betty Lou Curtis Clark, 70, beloved widow of Donnie Ray Clark since 2015, joined him in eternal rest on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Betty was born on October 4, 1952 in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Harvey Young and Emma Crawley Curtis. Family was everything to Betty, and in her spare time, she enjoyed making jewelry, playing cards, watching true crime shows on the ID Channel, and especially going bowling. She provided a loving home for her children Lucretia Gambill, husband David, Kevin Clark, and Lena Hill, husband George, with whom she left a lifetime of wonderful memories. She was a devoted grandmother to Travis Sallee, wife Samantha, Jessica Sallee, Kayla Sallee, Megan Gambill, Emma Grace Hill, Chloie Fritts, Makenzi Hill, and Rowdy Hill; and a precious great-grandmother to Jacob and Tiffany Sallee, Alexia Hernandez, Kelahni Hill, and Xander Abney, all of whom will greatly miss her. Betty also leaves her sister Gladys Aldridge, husband Ricky, and her brother Donald Curtis to treasure wonderful childhood memories. A Funeral Remembrance Service will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, following which she will be laid to rest with her husband at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 1:30 PM. Pallbearers will be George Hill, David Gambill, Travis Sallee, J.J. Lopez, Joe Hernandez, and Donald Curtis. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. “You’ll never forget your mother’s face, the sound of her voice, the lessons she taught, the things she stood for . . . .They are her gift and your legacy.” Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the loyalty and trust given to us to care for Betty and her family.
