Vernon ‘Junior’ Land, Jr. 39, of Coolbreeze Dr., died Monday, at UK Hospital. He was a Jessamine County native and graduate of Jessamine County High School born Aug. 22, 1972.
He was a member of the Open Door Church in Lexington and a self employed maintenance worker. Junior loved being around his friends and during High School was the Manager for the football, basketball, and baseball teams, he was a member of the Jessamine County Fair Board, served as the manager of a country music band, enjoyed running the backhoe, and was recently appointed as a Special Deputy for the Jessamine County Sheriff Department.
He is survived by his father Vernon Land, Sr., his mother Arlene Teater and step father Darrell Teater, fianc
