Timothy James Travis, of Nicholasville, left his earthly home on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. He was born April 4, 1972, in Beckley, West Virginia, and was the son of Elizabeth Carpenter Carman and the late Thomas James Travis. Tim always enjoyed searching Goodwill for a great bargain, and he liked being outdoors fishing and gardening. But what he loved most was family time, taking care of his boys. He leaves wonderful memories with his mother Elizabeth, husband Frank; his life companion Gawayna Lynn Brummett Travis; his sons Timothy Vincent Travis, wife Ashley, Jesse James Travis, wife Jocelyn Richardson, and Terry Lynn Travis; his grandchildren Brently David Travis and Oaklyn Travis; and his brothers and sisters Matthew Scott, Brian Scott, Christal White, Pamela Bigham, and sister-in-law Dawn Brummett. In addition to his father Thomas, Tim joined other loved ones who passed before him: his infant son Timothy Paul Travis; and his siblings Rick Travis, Terry Travis, and Vanessa Scott. Tim’s family will greet friends beginning at 12:00 PM Friday, June 12, 2026, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. Just before 2:00 PM, family and friends will process to Maple Grove Cemetery for a Graveside Service officiated by Rev. Bobby Chesser. Honoring Tim as pallbearers are Terry Travis, Harold Coleman, Jesse Travis, Harold Matthew Stacy, M.J. Stacy, and Jonathan Hilary. “If I could write a story, it’d be the greatest ever told about a kind and loving father, who had a heart of gold. I’ll remember all he taught me. Some days I might be sad, but he’s in my heart forever, and he’ll always be my dad.” Arrangements have been entrusted to Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, and we express our most sincere sympathy to the Travis family and friends.
