Thomas P. "Tom" Underwood

Thomas Paul "Tom" Underwood, 63, of Melber, KY entered into eternal rest on June 21, at his home where he and Wanda had moved to last August. He was the loving husband of Wanda Faulkner Underwood who he married on June 30, 1984. He was a native of Letcher County, born June 2, 1951, to the late Paul E. and Inez H. Underwood. Tom was a retired employee of AT & T formerly Bell South Telephone Company which gave him the opportunity to reside in many areas of the State such as Whitesburg, Winchester, Fancy Farm, and Danville. He and Wanda had recently moved to Melber so he could do what he loved most and grew up doing, hunting and fishing. He was an avid horseback rider, member of the Whitesburg Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites, and the Olieka Shriners. In addition to his wife he leaves his memories with his son Jeremy Underwood, wife Elisabeth, their children Abigail and Caleb of Dayton, Ohio, daughter Marcie Rayburn and her children Brandon, his 2 children, and Cade, of Fancy Farm, a sister and brother in law Diann and Ron Cundiff, Nicholasville as well as nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM CST on Thursday, June 26, at the Brown Funeral Chapel in Mayfield. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM. On Sunday June 29, Tom will be Remembered by his family and friends at the Salt River Baptist Church, 5125 Perryville Road in Danville at 3:00 PM with receiving of friends at 2:00 PM. Tom's request was cremation which was honored by his family and provided by the Brown Funeral Chapel.
