Shirley Temple Johnson Masters

Shirley Temple Johnson Masters, 87 completed her earthly journey on July 25th, 2026. She is the beloved wife of the late James Masters and survived by her children Bernadean, husband Jeff Walsh, Tim “Bubby” Masters, and Connie husband, Jeff, Rial.

Shirley was born January 25, 1939, one of twelve children of the late Claude and Hazel Johnson. She outlived all of her brothers and sisters, carrying their memories in her heart until her final days. She is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters Rwanda Crutcher and Alisa Crutcher, grand-daughter Renee Rial and grand-son Michael Crutcher.

Shirley enjoyed spending her time reading, cultivating her beloved flowers, and enjoying the loyal companionship of her special dog, Little Bitty Baby. Her family will always fondly remember what a wonderful cook she was in the kitchen, where her heart and talent filled every family gathering with warmth, and unforgettable meals.

Serving as Pall-bears are John King, Abel Morales, Andres Morales, Jeff Walsh, Caden McAdams, and Louis Walker. 

Visitation will be held at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home in Nicholasville on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and Funeral services on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 12:30pm. “Your Mother will always live in your heart, memories, and the way you see the world.”
