Wilmore: Robert Allen Curtsinger, 71, died Sunday. Aug. 19, 2012, at his home. A native of Jessamine County he was born Dec. 5, 1940, to the late Floyd and Ural Figg Curtsinger. Throughout his life he was active as a Specialist E4 in the U S Army and had served as Past Master of the Wilmore Masonic Lodge 922, was Quarter Master of VFW Post 11138, a Kentucky Colonel, and a charter member of the Jessamine Historical Society. Bob retired after many years of service at Columbia Gas of Kentucky. Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years Margaret Thomas Curtsinger, was a loving father to their , 6 children Carla Curtsinger Huff, Robert Allen Curtsinger, Jr., wife Tonya, Candace Curtsinger Napier, husband Tony, step children James Beckett wife Tonya, Kathy Beckett West, and Kimberly Beckett Kelsey, husband Jesse , sister Jane Horton, husband Robert, sister-in-law Rowena Curtsinger, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother William Curtsinger and nieces Debra Locker and Donna Daniels. A Remembrance Ceremony will be held 11:00 AM Thurs. Aug. 23, beginning with a Masonic Service followed by Rev. Leonard Fitch at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Wilmore Cemetery.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be Robert Curtsinger, James Beckett, Jesse Kelsey, Tony Napier, Bryan Lunsford, Dakota Shumate, Danny and Tommy Fielder. Honorary bearers will be Daniel Beckett, Allen West, Matthew Beckett, and Raigne Schmidt. The family will receive family and friends from 4 to 8 PM Wed. Aug. 22, and 10 AM until Service time on Thursday Aug. 23, at the funeral home.
