Robert C. ‘Mike’ Chism, 63, of Highbridge died Thursday, May 6, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was a native of Jessamine County born May 5, 1947. He was a retired dispatcher for Malone & Hyde and was presently working for the Jessamine County Board of Education in the maintenance department at West Middle School. He was an avid fisherman and loved watching movies. He is survived by a brother Dean Chism, wife Faye and nieces Missy Foley, Mindy Chism, Kim Soper, Jessica Chism, and Glenda Gleason. He was preceded in death by a brother Clarence Chism who died in 2002.
Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 10, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, burial in Shawnee Run Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Cox, John Wagers, John Cotton, Robert Gleason, and Ricky Griffith. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday, May 9, at the funeral home.
