Robert Irving Baker

Nicholasville: Robert I. Baker, 78, of Creekside Apartments, died Tues., Oct 30, at V A Hospital on Leestown Road. He was a native of Nebraska born Feb. 18, 1929, to the late Charles R. and Bessie M. Stone Baker. He spent many years in California where he worked for Diamond Walnut as a sheet metal worker and was a member of the Moose Lodge and the V F W. He loved gardening especially raising African Violets. Survivors include 2 daughters Judy Hubbard, husband Richard of Oregon and Karen Kay, husband Allan of Hawii, a sister Virginia Bush, California, 2 brothers Harold Baker of California and Charles Baker, Oregon, numerous nieces and nephews and his caregivers nephew Bill and niece Sherry. He was preceded in death by a step son John Jenson, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, Nov. 2, at Creekside Apartments on Second Street. The family chose Hager & Cundiff for cremation arrangements.
