Ray Daniel Scott

Ray Daniel Scott,102, entered into eternal rest on Nov. 28, 2025, in Maryville, TN. He was the widower of Geneva “Jean” Scott since 2014. Ray was the son of Daniel and Grace “Jean” Stinnett Scott, born March 12, 1923 in Jessamine County. He was a WWII veteran and retired employee of IBM where he was a Quality Control Specialist. Ray loved farming and maintained an Iris Farm in Jessamine County. He also loved wood-working, making furniture for his family and a large doll house complete with electricity. He was loved by all in his neighborhood and especially by his daughter’s new puppy who followed him up and down the driveway. He will be fondly remembered by his daughters Yolanda Johnson and Yvonne Combest, husband John, sister Helen Watkins, grandchildren Jeff Back, Kathy Johnson, Michael Combest, Robert Combest, wife April, and 6 great-grandchildren.  A private visitation and burial will be held on Thursday, as he will be laid to rest beside his wife with Military Honors in Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Michael, Robert, Kade, and Cooper Combest, Kyle Back and Hayden Back, and Dewey Hamblin. The family requests donations be made in his memory to the Blanton Memorial Health Hospice , 1095 East Lamar Alexandra Hwy, Maryville, TN 37804
