Elaine Leach Ogden widow of Ronnie Ogden and the Matriarch of the Ogden family, left her earthly home at Heartland Park Health and Rehabilitation on March 14, 2026. She was a life-long resident of Nicholasville born on June 22, 1939, being one of four children of the late Sergius and Nelle Staton Leach. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church where she attended for many years. Elaine loved to play golf and hang out with friends and her children at Lone Oak Country Club pool, and she was a perfect hostess when planning a get-together for a small group of friends. In her spare time, she loved to dress up and go shopping. In later times she enjoyed spending time attending sporting events for her children and grandchildren, at which she was their biggest cheerleader. She was a giving person, always willing to help someone in need and inviting them to stay with her family saying “come on and stay with us”. She leaves her precious memories with children Timmy Ogden, wife Sylvia and their daughter Madelynn Ogden, Tommy Ogden and wife Suzie and their children Misty Woolwine, Iva Ogden, Luke and Andrew Ogden, and Shari Ogden Davis, husband Jason and their son Nathan, fiancée Bethany, and great- grandchildren Mallory and Emma Woolwine. Her sister Sharon Leach Eason will treasure their childhood memories. Other survivors include a sister-in-law Cheryl Leach and brother-in-law Ashley Moss, as well as Odean Jones, one of those special people who lived with the family throughout a year of High School, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. The family will honor her memory with a Service to be held at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home on Monday March 23 at 1:00 PM after which she will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Luke Ogden, Nathan Davis, Staton, Blaine, and Ryland Bowman and Nichole McCoy. Honorary bearers will be Paul Abshear, Nancy Corman, Ashley Washington, and Northpointe/Hartland Park Combs Unit nurses and staff. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 22 beginning at 2PM and ending at 6 PM at the Funeral Home. “Where there has been a beautiful soul, there is a trail of beautiful memories.” Services are under the direction of Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home and we extend our deepest sympathy to Elaine’s family and friends.
