Marilyn June Perkins

Marilyn June Perkins, 79, widow of Jerry Lee Perkins, Sr., joined him in eternal rest on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was one of seven children born to the late Harold and Margie Wayland on April 5, 1947, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was employed by CHI-CHI’s restaurant for 30 years until their closing. Marilyn enjoyed cooking and planning family get-togethers, and she also loved to work in her yard and decorate her home. She leaves her memories with children Thomas Lucas Perkins, Amy June Rawlings, husband Robert, Marty Wayne Perkins, Margie June Perkins, and Raymond Perkins, as well as 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Her childhood memories will be treasured by her sisters Shirley Clark, Brenda Wayland, Carolyn Burgin, Nancy Hartman, Peggy Threesh and brother Johnny Wayne Wayland. She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. Besides her parents and husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by a son Jerry Lee Perkins, Jr. In accordance to her wishes the family has chosen cremation. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM and the family will greet visitors begin at 1:00 PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. “Your Mother will always lives in your heart and memories.
