Maria Del Socorro Meza-Chavez

Maria Del Socorro Meza-Chavez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, left her earthly home on Thursday, July 3, 2025. Maria was born on January 10, 1960 in Aguas Calientes, Mexico to the late Salvador Meza and Margarita Chavez, one of their fifteen children. She loved planting and caring for her flowers and was known for her beautiful roses. She also enjoyed watching the birds that visited her yard, and she liked to crochet. Maria was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Nicholasville. She leaves wonderful memories with her loving husband Ruben Carmona, her children Adan Carmona, Eva Carmona, husband Galeo Torres, Jose Carmona, and Daniela Carmona, fourteen grandchildren, and thirteen brothers and sisters. Besides her parents, Maria was preceded in death by a brother. Maria’s family will greet friends from 9-11:30 AM Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, following which there will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM at St. Luke Catholic Church, 304 S. Main Street, Nicholasville. Maria will then be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery. “Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.” All arrangements are under the direction of Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, and we express our deepest sympathy to Maria’s family and friends.
