Lucy Walters

Lucy Walters of Nicholasville, KY., was born Lucy Begley to John B. and Elsie (House) Begley on March 28th, 1941 in the Daybolt community of Jackson Co, KY. She departed this life on June 1st, 2025. She was preceded in death by her mom + dad, her husband Thomas E. Walters of 39 years, three brothers, Saul, Elmer and Hurstle, One sister Edith Lunsford and one daughter-in-law Felicia Walters. She was a loving mother who taught her children and grandchildren to love others as Christ loves us. She will be remembered and celebrated for her unconditional love for her family.

She is survived by two brothers, Billy Ray Begley + wife Louise of Hamilton, OH and J.B. Begley of Hamilton, OH.

She is survived by six children, Patricia Force and husband Edward of Gray, KY, Thomas Walters of El Paso, Tx, John Walters of Nicholasville, KY, David Walters and wife Brenda of London, KY, Carla Herald and husband Paul of Lexington, KY, Tina Brown and husband George of Versailles, KY; fifteen grandchildren; Melinda, Roger, Randy, Joseph, Matthew, John, Amanda, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Andrea, Benjamin, Johnathon, Thomas, Joshua, Alex, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include Randy, Roger, Thomas, Ben, Joshua, Alex, Tyler. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be Thursday, 06/05/2025 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with services at 12:00PM. Burial will be at 1:30 PM at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
