Lorraine Daugherty Mcmurtry

January, 29, 1916 - February, 10, 2006

90, of W. Maple died Fri., Feb. 10, 2006, at Breckenridge Nursing Home. A native of Jessamine County , she was born Jan. 29, 1916, to the late Dr. Robert "R.W." and Hallie Lee Hill Daugherty. She was a retiree of the Veterans Administration and worked along side her husband at Drug Mart for 29 years. Lorraine was a member of Nicholasville Baptist Church, Business of Professional Womans Club, and the Jessamine Co. Womans Club.

Survivors include her husband Joe McMurtry, a sister Blanche Daugherty Hovater, and a sister-in-law Ann Hunter Daugherty, all of Nicholasville. She was preceded in death by two brothers William Moss Daugherty and Charles Walter Daugherty.

Services were held Mon., Feb. 13, 2006 at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME, on Oak St., Rev. Allen Harrod officiated, burial was in Richmond Cemetery. Friends and family served as pallbearers. Visitation was Feb. 12, 2006 at the funeral home.
