Linda Cooper, age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Linda will be reunited with those who preceded her in death by her beloved husband, Cecil Ray Cooper of 59 years; her parents, Elmer F. and Nellie F. Morgan; and her brothers, James Jenkins and Ohma Gene Morgan. She was born on Aug. 20th, 1947, in Versailles, Kentucky. A devoted and hardworking woman, she worked for 40 plus years as a medical transcriptionist. She also loved working for private ambulance services in the Lexington area and was an EMT instructor for many years. She also enjoyed camping with her family.
Linda is survived by her daughter Jenell Lynn Clem and her chosen daughters Carole Morgan Hesson, husband Jeff, and Gena Machale Carrington who brought into her life grandchildren Mickey Ray Stone-Bowman wife Madison, Danielle Lynn Davis, husband Josh, Samatha Noel Hall, fiancé Colt, Ashley Carole Hesson, fiancé Zack, Adam Charles Carrington, fiancée Jenn, Clay Redmon Carrington as well as 10 great grandchildren.
Linda will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength, and the special bonds she formed with family-both by birth and by choice. She found joy in the people she loved and was proud of the family that surrounded her.
A Remembrance Service will be at 11:30 AM Thursday, June 4, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. Linda’s family will greet friends at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 9:00 AM until time of the service. She will be laid to rest in Lexington Cemetery Thursday at 1:00 PM.
