Johnny Goforth

The hearts of the Johnny Goforth family are broken as they have lost a part of their family who meant so much to them. He loved, taught and gave them the best he had as a father, grandfather, great grand-father, and a brother. Johnny was born May 20, 1958, to the late Billy Goforth and Joanne Denton Goforth. He was a life long resident of Jessamine County and was a self employed handy man who loved to do mechanic work, fish and being outdoors. His favorite activity was to hunt red tip wild onions to put with wild Shawnee and hot bacon grease. He leaves a treasure of memories with the love of his life Hazel Goforth, his children Donald Goforth, Johnny Goforth Jr., wife Emily, Lindsay Mastin, husband George, Niki Morris,  husband Clint, Matthew Goforth, Cody Goforth and friend Katie Play-forth, and Dakota Braden who is a great great nephew he was raising like a son. His grandchildren, Tristian Peace, husband Dale, Christina Chapman-Goforth, Natalie Goforth, Halie Mastin, Austin Mastin, Kinsley Goforth, and Paisley Goforth, and his 5 great grandchildren Rosalee Peace, Luke Peace, Tristian “Cookie” Peace, Kalirae Peace, and Zaniyah Edwards. He leaves his childhood memories with sisters,  Marie Dean, husband Donnie, Fannie Turner, Debbie Williams, husband Danny. He will also be remembered by Jessica Peace, the mother of 2 of his grandchildren. Johnny will be met with open arms at the river by his infant son, daughter Crystal Jean Goforth, brother Billy Gorforth and special friend Tina Jean Smith. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home and Cremations .His service will be held at a later date. Check back here for additional information.
