Nicholasville: John Rodney Churchill, 54 of N. Central Ave. died Fri., Sept. 29, at UK Medical Center, Lexington. A native of Harvey, IL he was born Dec. 17, 1952 to the late Ralph M. Churchill and Eleanor White Churchill. He was a veteran having served in the US Air Force as a jet air mechanic during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated member of Light House Baptist Church where he helped with the Bus Ministry. John was a missionary to Mexico for 8 years, a graduate of both Bill Davis School of Saddlery and TN Temple University and was an ordained minister. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Churchill, 3 sons, John Daniel Churchill, Stephen Ralph Churchill, Timothy Michael Churchill, mother-in-law, Ruth Ludlam, brother-in-law, Doug Ludlam and wife Marla, sister-in-law, Denise Kaufman and husband Jeff, 2 brothers, Rex Churchill and Doug Riley.
