James Kelly Adams, Jr., 24, of Nicholasville, formerly of Conley Flats Rd., Greenup, Ky., died unexpectedly on Sat. Nov. 22. A native of Boyd County he was born Nov. 7, 1984, to James Kelly Adams, Lexington and Belinda Vay Barnett Adams, Greenup. James was a former employee of Geddes Fencing. Survivors include his father James Kelly Adams, wife Samantha, Lexington, his mother Belinda Vay Barnett Adams, Greenup, a son James Kelly Adams III, paternal grandfather Raymond Adams, Garrard County, maternal grandparents Willie and Geraldine Barnett, Oldtown, a brother Jonathan Adams, 2 sisters Amanda Banfield, Jesse Dale, Grayson and Jessica Adams, Lexington, a step brother Ivan Shaw, nieces Kaitlyn & Chloe Banfield, nephews Caleb and Jeramiah Banfield, and serveral aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Ellen Louise Vest.

Services will be held 1:00 PM Wed. Nov. 26, at the Reed Funeral Home in Greenup with burial in the Barnett-Crump Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, Nicholasville, on Mon. Nov. 24, from 4 to 8 PM and at the Reed Funeral Home from 6 to 9 PM on Tues. Nov. 25.
