Wilmore: Gene Allen West, 72, of South Lexington Ave., died Thurs., Jan. 4, at St. Joseph Hospital. A native of Jessamine County he was born August 18, 1934, to the late Chester and Mary Eva West. Gene was a retired welder for Southern Railroad and a veteran of the US Army. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Phyllis Jean Drury West, a son Jeff West and fianc
