Frances Wardle

Frances Wardle, 76, joined her husband Clifton W. Wardle in eternal rest on Sept. 5, 2026. She was a native of Middletown Ohio born February 21, 1950 to the late Earnest Owens and Orene Brewer Owens. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, outdoor events, gardening and being with her family, especially her great grandchildren. In her earlier days she loved dancing with her husband, and they were so good that they won 1st place at a 50’s dance at Woodland Park (Lexington) doing the Jitter-Bug. She was an absolute beautiful soul inside and out! She leaves these and many more memories with her children Marianne Young, Christopher Marstin, Denise Peachey and Beverly Johnson and a host of grandchildren which included Danielle Ryker and her children Alexis and Cheyenne Mitchell and Maddox Arnett, whom she raised and were her only great grandchildren, a sister Mattie Drury and several nieces and nephews. Frances will be greeted at the river by her husband Clifton W. Wardle, daughter Donna Collins, stepson Clifton W. Wardle Jr., brother Raymond Owens, sister Darlene Puckett and parents Earnest and Orene Owens. A Graveside Service officiated by Rev. John Wardle will be held Thursday, September 10,  at 1:00 PM in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the Funeral Home Thursday beginning at 12:00 PM until 12:45 PM. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Phil Collins Jr., Christopher Marstin, Phillip Collins, Robert Ryker, Clint Collins Jr. and Brandon Arnett. “If there ever comes a time when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll be there forever.” Arrangements have been entrusted to Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, and we extend our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of Frances.
