Estill Smith, 79, father of Tammy Green went to be with his Lord and Savior on Feb. 5, 20026 at the VA Hospital. He was a native of Delphia , Kentucky born Jan. 31, 1947, to the late Rantsome and Celeste Shepherd Smith, being one of 9 children. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was employed by LexTran as a diesel mechanic. Estill had a passion for being a Blacksmith. He also belonged to VFW Post 680 where he loved cooking, was a member of SAG Motorcycle Club, and loved riding his Harley Davis motorcycle. He collected stray cats and has one that was close to his heart, which he named Joe Stray Cat. He was known for telling stories and making them so real that everyone would believe them. He was best described by his family as a character! He leaves his memories with daughter Tammy Green, and husband James, grandchildren Madison Green, Leia Green, Rantsome Green, and Axton “Festus” Green. His brother Paul “Smitty” Smith, and sister Linda Fitch, husband John, will always remember their childhood adventures. Waiting on him at the river to greet him will be brothers Oscar Smith, Ed Ingram and Bill Ingram, sisters Patricia Smith, Sue Scarborough, and Loretta Ingram, as well as his beloved fur baby Ribley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ed Boots, Kenny Gentry, Paul Edward, James Green, and John Fitch. The family will greet friends on Sat., Feb 14. beginning at 12:00 Noon until Service time at 3:30 PM. Cremation will follow the Service, and a Graveside Service with military honors at Camp Nelson will be scheduled soon and posted here. The Graveside Service has been scheduled for March 4, 2026 at 2:30PM, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, Kentucky. 40356
