They shall come and sing in the height of Zion, running to the goodness of the Lord…For I will turn their mourning to joy, will comfort them, and make them rejoice…my people shall be satisfied with my goodness,” says the Lord. Jeremiah 31:12-14

Beth Coppedge entered the presence of her Savior on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Beth spent her life sharing the joy of loving Jesus with everyone she met. One of her favorite verses was I Corinthians 2:9, “Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor has entered into the heart of man the things that has God has prepared for those who love Him.” She believed and lived in His goodness.

Beth was born in Schenectady, New York in 1947, the daughter of Dennis and Elsie Kinlaw and the oldest of five siblings. Beth attended and loved Asbury College and graduated in 1969, marrying Al Coppedge on her graduation day. She and Al headed to the mission field in 1970, and spent three years in Medellin, Colombia with OMS International. After completing doctoral work at Cambridge University, Al and Beth came to Wilmore with their two little girls, Katy Beth and Cricket, and soon added two more children to their family, Billy and Susannah. Al began teaching at Asbury Theological Seminary, and for over thirty years, they were involved in discipleship ministry out of their home. Beth began teaching a women’s Bible study which grew to become Titus Women Ministry in the early 1990s. Beth had opportunity to partner with the Come to the Fire Team. Together, they invited women to give “all to Jesus.” Beth loved sharing Jesus and praying with women, and she took every opportunity to make Him known.

Beth believed every person was called to have a holy heart and live in “trinity unity and calvary love.” This was her unwavering confidence and joyful testimony: All of Me for All of Jesus!

Beth is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dr. Al Coppedge, her four children: Katy Beth Searls, Cricket Albertson, Billy Coppedge & Susannah Chalkley and their spouses, eighteen beautiful grandchildren and two precious great grandchildren. The visitation will be Saturday, June 14, 3:00pm-6:00pm and her Celebration of Life service will be Sunday, June 15 at 3:00pm. Both will be held in Hughes Auditorium (on the campus of Asbury University). There will be a graveside service at Wilmore Cemetery following her celebration.

If you are led to honor Beth by making a gift, please do so to Titus Women Ministry so that more women can know the joy of loving Jesus.
