Elizabeth Jane Abney
Mrs Elizabeth Jane Abney, 50, widow of Kenneth Abney since 2012, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 18, at the home of her daughter. She was a native of Lexington, born Aug. 4, 1965, to the late John B. “JB” and Teresa Salyers Marcum. She was employed as a home health caregiver for many years, loved to sew, crochet, and knit. She is survived by a daughter Billie Abney and 13 step children, 3 grandchildren, a brother Billy Marcum, sisters Crystal Morris and Jeanie Adkins. A one day Service has been chosen by the family. They will Receive Friends at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, June 22, with a Remembrance Service starting at 7:00 PM ,cremation to follow. Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Bluegrass. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Abney family.
