Darryl D. Kestel, 62, of Carolyn Lane, husband of Lara Gill Kestel, died Sat. July 31, at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. A native of Jessamine County he was born Nov. 11, 1947, to the late Charles V. and Bernice Duncan Kestel. He was a member of the Nicholasville Baptist Church,a US Navy veteran, and a retired employee of IBM/LexMark where he coached softball and volleyball and served as a referee for T-Ball. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Devan Elizabeth Kestel, brother Mike Kestel, wife Brenda, nieces Krissi and Nikki Kestel, and nephews Shawn and Keith Kestel. He was preceded in death by a brother Charles V. Kestel, Jr.. Services will be 12:30 PM Wed., Aug 4, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
