A limb has fallen from the Stinnett family tree. Charles Ray Stinnett, Jr. entered into eternal rest on April 17, 2026. He was the devoted husband of Tammy Lunsford Stinnett and father of Kimberly Renee Stinnett (Marcus), Tevis Sherie Stinnett, husband Bobby Mullins, Amanda Kae Getter, husband Lance, Susan Michelle Stinnett, and Andrew Preston Stinnett, wife Kassey. He was born in Lexington Kentucky, but a life-long resident of Jessamine County. He was born Sept. 14, 1959, to Emma Katherine Hurt Stinnett Curry and the late Charles Ray Stinnett, Sr. Charles was a building contractor for Darrel Bailey and a member of Nicholasville Church of God, where he was always willing to lend a hand when needed. He and Tammy loved to work puzzles and to entice their family to come and help. Having 5 children, 20 grandchildren and 1 great -grandchild, they always had plenty of help! He enjoyed playing Corn Hole and spending time with his family. His sister Kathy Annette King and his father will be waiting for him at the river. In addition to his wife and children, he will be dearly missed by his mother Emma Katherine Curry, sisters Mary Sue Breiner, Carolyn Ann Burton, Sharon Jean Bolin, husband Tom, and Linda Rae Stinnett, as well as numerous extended family members and friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Nicholasville Church of God on Friday April 24, at 1:00 PM, and the family will greet friends at the Church on Thursday April 23 beginning at 4:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Mullins, Andrew Stinnett, Lance Getter, Darrel Bailey, Justin Jasper, and Blake Esters. Honorary bearers will be Tom Bolin, Dustin Getter, Charles Gavin, and Gary Ayden. Donations may be made to Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home to assist with expenses for Charles’s funeral. “If there ever comes a day where we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.” The arrangements for Charles have been entrusted to Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, and we wish to express our deepest sympathy to the Stinnett family and friends.
