Known as a passionate historian and storyteller, Bunky’s knowledge and memories of the community became treasured gifts to friends and neighbors. His stories—always told with warmth and wit—will live on in those who were fortunate enough to hear them.

Bunky is also survived by his brother, George, and sister-in-law, Jean Elain Overstreet; his nephew, Eddie (Caroline) Overstreet; his niece, Sally (James) Andrews; and a large extended family who will forever cherish his memory. Bunky will be remembered not only as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, but also as a man of integrity, community, and faith. His life was marked by service to his country, dedication to his land, and a deep love for his family. Bunky was a devoted member of the “Hardees” breakfast club and he will be greatly missed by his friends that he shared many stories with at “Hardees”. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
