Bill G. Sheets, 84, resident of Thomson Hood Veterans Center for the past 7 years died Sat. Nov 19. Bill served as president of the Resident Council, was a member of the East Hickman Baptist Church where he was a member of the Choir and the Second Sunday School Class, and a veteran of the US Army having served in Alaska during WWII. He was born Jan 10, 1927, West Virginia and was a graduate of West Virginia Business College where he earned a degree in Business Administration. Survivors include sons Kipling J. Sheets, Nicholasville and Charles B. Sheets MA, a daughter Laura Hylbert, husband Kenneth, Nicholasville, grandsons Jason, Joshua, and Tim, granddaughters Ashley and Alysha, great granddaughter Emma and a nephew. He was preceded in death by a grandson Joey and a half sister Molly Pensol. Military Honors and Graveside Service will be held 1:30 PM Tues. at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
