76, of Highbridge, died Wed., May 31, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital. A native of Jessamine Co., she was born May 2, 1930 to the late Henry and Hadgie Beckham Horn. She was the widow of Claude B. Freels who died in 2000, a former employee of Barrett Sewing Factory in Wilmore and attended High Bridge Union Church. Betty enjoyed quilting, keeping house, and caring for her beloved cat, Rosie.

She is survived by a daughter Brenda Sewell, High Bridge, a grandson Shawn Claude Sewell, Lexington, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters Cleo Houp and Ruth Harrison, and 3 brothers Elmer Horn, Harry Horn, and Meader Horn.

Services will be 1:00 PM, Fri., June 2, at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME, on W. Oak St.,with Rev. Glenn Spann officiating, burial in Wilmore Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Elmer Freels, Michael Freels, Ron Houp, Jr., Wess Houp, Frankie Daugherty, and Rufus Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be the Wilmore Lyons Club, Neil and Wylie Adams, Jean Waller, and Edith Carson. Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM, Thurs, June 1, at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in her memory to St. Joseph Hospital, 6th floor Oncology, 1 St. Joseph Dr., Lexington, KY 40504.
