Anna Neal Jennette, 97, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 after an extended illness, joining her husband Joe Jennette, Sr. who passed away in 2005. She was a native of Jessamine County born November 26, 1918 to the late Charlie and Agnes Brooks Teater. Anna was a former member of the DAR, Daughters of the Union, Jessamine County Homemakers, and Jessamine County Historical Society, but her passion was being a loving mother and grandmother. She leaves to treasure her memories her children Viley Marie Wade; Joe Wallace Jennette, Jr., wife Betty; Charles U. Jennette, wife Mary; and Jerry Jennette Kestel, as well as 10 grandchildren: Bryan, Randy, Darrin, and Kyle Wade, Joanna, Eric, Chad, and Eli Kestel, Charles Jennette, Jr., and Teresa Hardesty, 16 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Anna was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Bessie Frances Mustard and Lela Rose Graham, and 2 brothers, Virgil Teater and Charles Russell Teater. Anna's family will honor her with a Remembrance Service at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 9, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Carpenter officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Joe at Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Bryan, Randy, Darrin, and Kyle Wade, Eric, Chad, and Eli Kestel, Charles Jennette, Jr., and Caleb Wade. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Graham, Bud Jennette, and Tom Jennette. Anna's family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Friday, April 8, at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass in Anna's memory. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Jennette Family.
