Wesley Eric Sheldahl

Wesley Eric Sheldahl, 47, husband of Alana, left his earthy home onTuesday, Oct. 10, after his courageous 4-year battle with cancer.   He is a native of Minnesota born Dec. 29, 1969, to the late Marvin Eric and Eleanor Clara Marie Danielson Sheldahl.  Wesley was a simple man who was dedicated to his Church, St. Athanasius Orthodox Church,   where he was a founding member since 2002 and had been a Tonsured Reader in the Church for 12 years.  He was an avid gardener and loved his work with Appriss Inc. as a Software Engineer.  A dedicated husband to Alana and father to Bethany Rose, Maia Noami, Eric Thomas, and Ariana Grace Sheldahl, brother to Andrea Grace Kaiser and uncle to Josiah, Eleanor, Zuri and Zion, his dedication extended to many other family members and his friends.  Wesley was preceded in death by a sister Rosa Christine Sheldahl.  A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, Oct. 13 in the St. Athanasius Orthodox Church, 100 Lime Lane, Nicholasville, KY 40356, and he will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery.  Honoring Wes as pallbearers will be Paul Frangedakis, David Pitts, Chris Naughton, Tim Powell, Bert Walther, and Rich Bowen.  His family will greet friends starting at 6:00 PM on Thursday and ending at 7:00 PM, at which time a Funeral Service will be held.  Donations may be made in his memory to International Orthodox Christian Charities, 110 West Road, Suite 360, Baltimore, MD 21204.  Those we love don’t go away, but walk beside us everyday.  They are still loved, missed and are very dear.  Hager & Cundiff is honored to serve the Sheldahl family.
