Sharon Messer Obituary

Sharon Mae Messer, 49, loving mother of Amber Lynn Huff Kellett, husband Patrick, Amy Nicole “Nikki” Messer and Pamela Mae Messer went to be with her Savior  on June 20, 2019.  She born April 28, 1970, in Lexington, KY to Amy Sharon Anderson Burton and the late Charles Edward Stinnett and was  a life long resident of Jessamine County. Sharon was one of four children in this loving family.  She was preceded in death by her step father Harold Burton and  baby brother Homer Burton leaving her sisters Cheryl Durham, husband Steve and Shirley Smith to cherish their childhood memories.  She is also survived by the light of her life her grandchildren Bruce Morris Messer-Sams, Johnathan Dylan Messer-Sams, Nicholas Curry Gill, and Archer Kellett, along with her many nieces and nephews who loved her unconditionally.  Sharon was a server at the Waffle House for 17 years and was known for her infectious  smile, and giving nature.  She loved collecting Princess Diana and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia and was a Titanic buff. She had been a member of Nicholasville Church of Christ, but had been attending Antioch Christian Church.  A Remembrance Service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, June 27, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.  She will be laid to rest beside her beloved brother in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.  Honoring her as pallbearers will be James and Derrick Smith, Kevin and Trace Wilson, David Montgomery, and Johnny Georgetown. Her grandsons Bruce, Johnathan, Nicholas, and Archer will serve as Honorary bearers.  The family will greet friends beginning at 4:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.  “Sharon has left an impact and her fingerprints can’t be wiped away from the marks of kindness she has left behind”.  It is a privilege for Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home to care for Sharon and her family.
