I was a patient with Dr. Corbitt for 3 years. She was always very loving and showed she was concerned about my health issues. She was the only one who listened and figured out what was going on with my health. I am saddened but blessed to have had her as my Doctor. I pray peace for the family during this time.

What a wonderful, bright, caring, wistful lady! Yes, wistful. She could see what people held back from others and wanted all their best to come true. I met her when I was driving your grandfather to school before his cataract surgery. My honor for two years. He was so proud of your dad and Phyllis! Right before I took my turn in Congo, I held your grandmother's hand and she prayed me out of the legal profession. She had pass away before I returned and went to Law School. She never knew. Jeannie? Col. Olsen spoke of you a few weeks before he died at 93. Said you were his favorite student. Hurt my feelings a little. Saw your mother infrequently over the years. She never forgot anything and was always so uplifting. At old Hopital Samuteb, she was regarded with such affection. But then they knew her. I only just saw her obit and as this is written, you are finishing her memorial. My prayers and thoughts are with you and moreso my joy at having known your family. They changed my life. If I can ever, just call.

What an amazing Mom you have. Aunt Phyllis has cared for our family in so many ways over the years. Dan, I feel really blessed to have visited with you two the other day.
With our thoughts and prayers,

Dr. Corbitt's life and legacy exemplify a life totally lived for Jesus. My prayer and love goes to her family. Jeannie, I am so blessed to have known her, and so thankful that Mary and I went to visit her this summer when I was there. I watched the entire video, and saw in your mom's eyes nothing but love. When "What a Day That Will Be" was playing, I knew she was now seeing Jesus--and He has taken her by His hand, and leading her into the Promised Land. I thank God for her life--and for yours as my friend--and pray God's deepest love to surround your family as you send your mom Home. Much love, Sherry

Dr Corbitt was our family doctor and neighbor. I remember as a child seeing her run through our yard to see my brother whose appendix had ruptured. She rode in the back seat with him (and my parents in the front) to St. Joseph in Lexington. I heard her call the surgeon from our kitchen and demanded he meet them in the ER. She was my mentor and wrote a letter of recommendation to medical school and encouraged me to do medical missions. I would sit with her on her porch and she would discuss medicine, Africa, and her 75 year old ferns! But most of all she prayed for me- and her prayers were amazing. She stopped my wife and me in the reception line at our wedding and prayed over us. Her prayers over the decades for me changed my life and I thank God for her!

I will always be grateful to Dr. Corbitt She was my doctor from the age of seventeen until my late forties. Without her I would have never had my son who is now twenty- eight & a father himself. She was a wonderful doctor with a kind heart who was never to busy to listen and give advice. I will miss her & our talks. She was my doctor but she was also my friend. May she rest in peace
