Marguerite Doyle Obituary

Marguerite Holmes Doyle, 98, of Nicholasville, widow of George Forrest Doyle, died on December 19, 2018. She was born January 24, 1920 in Vaiden, Mississippi. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1942, and earned a degree in Pharmacy. A veteran of WWII, she served in the United States Navy at the Yards and Docks in Washington D.C., and at the Naval Ammunition’s Depot in Crane, Indiana. She was a long-time employee of the Drug Mart in Nicholasville, a lifetime member of the Nicholasville United Methodist Church, a member of the Clio Club, the Woman’s Club of Central Kentucky and a long-time volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital. Survivors include her children Jeanne Arnold (Charles), George Doyle and Ben Doyle (Teresa); grandchildren Robert Doyle (Jessica), Lauren Arnold (Louis Brenner) and Ashley Arnold; and great grandchildren Andrew Doyle, Aly Doyle, Marguerite Brenner, Simon Brenner and Asha Brenner. A  private graveside service will be held in Smithfield, Kentucky, on December 28. No funeral service is planned per her request. The family requests no flowers. Contributions may be made in her memory to The Friends of Shaker Village at Shakervillage.ky.org, to Living Water International, 4001 Greenbriar Drive, Stafford, Texas 77477 or to any charity of your choice.
