Madonna (Collinsworth) Morgan

Madonna “Donna” C. Morgan, 88, widow of Louis B. Morgan since 2002, joined her husband in eternal rest on Tuesday, July 16, while in St. Joseph Hospital.  Donna was born in Ashland, KY to the late Charlie and Lexie Opal Fannin Collinsworth on April 12, 1931.  She spent most of her life in Ashland before moving to Nicholasville.  She was a member of the 18th Street United Methodist Church where she sang and played the piano.  She had a love for classical music, dancing, and her family.  Being a very creative lady she was  owner of Lou Donna’s Arts and Crafts Shop in Ashland where she loved having time to make flower arrangements, ceramics, and dabbling in many other crafts.  She will be fondly remembered by her children Pamela Mansfield Conley, Patricia Mansfield Hodge, and Tom Morgan, grandchildren Louvinda Lovitt and Zachariah Hodge, great grandchildren Addison and Emily Hodge, Cameron Pruitt and Lyndsey Pruitt Harris  and great great granddaughter Lilly Harris and soon to arrive Baby Harris.  In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by son Joseph T. Morgan, grandson Zane Hodge, and brother James Temple.  A Graveside Remembrance will be held 12:30 PM Friday, July 19, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband.  Honoring her as pallbearers will be Zachariah Hodge, Clay Lovitt, Royce McCormick, Tom Morgan, Dan Beeler, and Morgan Griffis.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM and ending at 12:00 noon on Friday.  “If ever there comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart.  I’’ll stay there forever”.   Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to be chosen by the Morgan family to care for their Mother.
