Mabel Lois Hall Brenton, 93, widow of Perry Brenton, left her earthly home on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Mabel had been a resident of Diversicare for the last 9 years. She was a native of Wilmore born Feb. 25, 1925, to the late M.J. and Emma Bell Hall. She was a secretary on many Marine and Navy bases as her late husband was a retiree of the military. This gave Mabel the personality of being in authority and able to give orders to those that surrounded her all the while being a sweet and kind individual. She was a member of the Nicholasville United Methodist Church and in her spare time she liked to make beautiful quilts. She is survived by a sister Edith Hall Peel, and several much loved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sisters Evelyn Hall Drury and Letha Egbert Donovan, and brothers Robert Egbert, Maurice Egbert, and Gillispie Hall. A Graveside Remembrance is planned for 2:00 PM Thursday, March 8, in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Donations in her memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the Methodist Children’s Home. “Death can take a life but not a relationship”. The family is thankful for the relationship they had with Mabel. Hager & Cundiff is honored to care for this proud woman.
