Kenneth "Kink" Teater Obituary

Kenneth Teater, 91, joined his wife Sherley in eternal rest on Sept. 27 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  A native of Jessamine County he was born Jan. 30, 1928, to the late Curry and Helen Reynolds Teater.  “Kink,” as he was known by many, was a man of many talents.  He was former owner of Sunny Brook Restaurant, the Gulf Service Station, as well working many years with the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Dept. during Joe Walker’s and Kevin Corman’s tenure, and last but not least was a courier for Farmers Bank.  His passion was farming, and he continued that in later years by raising a vegetable garden and lots of flowers.  He leaves to cherish his memory daughters Sandy Peel, “Lindy” Warford, husband Kevin, and Kenna Denise “Missy” Teater, grandchildren who affectionatly called him “TT” Vickie Drury, husband Stephen, Brian Peel (who actually always called him “Granddadly”), Erin Warford, Alex Kenton Warford, Eli Kenan Teater, great grandchildren Adam Drury, wife Liz, Austin Glen Drury, Aaron Zachary Drury, Brianna Peel, and Emily Peel. He will also be fondly remembered by nephew Glen Teater and his family, Danny Moss, wife Sherry, and Rodney Moss, wife Kathy, as well as the many friends that thought so much of him.  He was preceded in death by a brother Howard Curry Teater and son-in-law Eugene Peel.  Kink's family truly appreciates the excellent care he received from all his in-home caregivers these past few months. The family will greet friends beginning at 4:00 PM on Wednesday Oct., 2 and ending at 8:00 PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.  A Remembrance Memorial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, Oct. 3, at the funeral home.  The family requests donations be made to Bethany Christian Church or the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Boys & Girls Ranch.   “Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave and impossible to forget”  Hager & Cundiff Funeral home is privileged to assist the Teater family during this difficult time
