Juanita (House) Wilson

April 9, 1925 ~ December 19, 2018 (age 93) 93 Years Old

Juanita Wilson Obituary

Juanita House Wilson, 93, the matriarch of the Wilson family joined her loving husband Judge Milton Wilson in eternal rest.  Juanita was a native of Jessamine County born April 9, 1925, one of five children of the late Arthur and Lois Peel House.  Not only was she a homemaker that included skills in quilting, painting pictures, doing ceramics, and being an expert seamstress as well as an excellent cook, but during her lifetime she had been an employee of the Jessamine County Clerk’s office, secretary for her husband while he was serving as Judge, assisted him in farming, and running the grocery at Hager’s and Wilson’s Grocery Stores.  She will be fondly remembered by her sons Glenn E. Wilson, wife Julie, and Allen Arthur Wilson, wife Chris, grandchildren Carrie Lynn Wilson, Heather Leigh Baker, husband Keith, and James Grant Wilson, great grandchildren Kaleb Nicholas and Hannah Lexi Baker, Pauline Benton, her cherished lifelong friend and side-kick, Mary Brunstetter, her daily companion and friend, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Juanita was preceded in death by brothers William Fountain and Jude House and sisters Mary and Lucille Hill.  A Remembrance Service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, Dec. 27, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.  She will be laid to rest following the service beside her husband in Maple Grove Cemetery.  Honoring her as pallbearers will be Steve Benton, Chris Johns, Shawn Preston, James Grant Wilson, Roy Hill, and Andy Johns.  Honorary Bearers will be Howard Downing, Jesse Bruner, Ron Hale, Ed Easterly, Carrie Wilson, Heather Baker, Robert Thompson, Bradley Johns, Audra Meighan, Tommy Welch, Danny Berry, Michael Hill, Harold Hill, Terry Foster, Fray Duncan, Danny House, and Allen Peel.  The family will greet friends beginning at 4:00 PM and ending at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, Dec. 26, at the funeral home and also on Thursday beginning at 11:00 AM before the service.  The family wishes to express their thanks to the Staff at Wesley Village for the kind and loving care they gave Juanita for the past seven years, as all were truly blessed for her to have such a loving home.  Donations may be made in her memory to the Wesley Village Staff Christmas Fund.  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Juanita Wilson.  Sign her guestbook and view video Tribute at www.hagerandcundifffunerals.com
