Coleman Edgar Walker, 69, widower of Betty L. Walker and father of Gregory Scott Walker, left his earthly home on Sunday, May 13, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Jessamine County born June 6, 1948, to the late Stanford and Myrtle Davis Walker, he was one of three children, leaving a brother Stancil Walker, wife Audrey and sister Sharon Gayle Pohlman. He is also leaves his memory with grandchildren Lylah Lou Walker and Luke Sky Walker. Coleman was an accomplished engraver and was widely known by many monument companies as being the best in the business. He like to fish, hunt and camp, but his true passion was rebuilding equipment such as tractors, old trucks, and cars He has been known to work on one for months or years depending on the location of parts. Coleman chose cremation with no planned services. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to have been a friend of his and to have the pleasure of knowing his expert engraving is on many of the stones of those we have served. “Why smile in such sadness? It’s because of the memories”.
