Christopher Micheal “Mike" Holland

Christopher Micheal “Mike” Holland, 46, of Stanford, entered his heavenly home on Sunday, August 19.  He was born in Lexington, KY on March 5, 1972, to Charles Micheal Holland and Karen Jones Kirby.  Mike was a member of Beech Fork Baptist Church in Gravel Switch, loved God and loved helping others. His passion was fishing and it was said that he could drop a line in a puddle and pull out a fish.  He was musically talented and played the guitar.  Football was his favorite sport and in earlier years he played both at West Jessamine and in Lincoln County schools.  In addition to his mother and step father Ronnie Kirby, and father and step mother Ruth Holland, he leaves memories with his companion for the last 4 years Nancy Cowles, brothers Tripp Harris, wife Brandie, Jackson Harris, Cody Harris, and Brian Kirby, wife Julie, step brothers Kenneth Russell Brown, David Lee Brown, and Luther Nicholas Brown, wife Natasha, nieces and nephews Abigail, Kelsey, and Kya Harris, Dylan and Caleb Kirby, and step nieces and nephews Samantha Dawn, Scott Russell, Amanda, Haley, Alexis, Lance Nicholas, and Lillie Mae Brown.  He leaves the special friendship that he enjoyed with Jr. and Kathy Barnett, Johnny, April and Seth Masters and Christina Kleczkowski.  He was preceded in death by his longtime friend Shawn Kleczkowski.  His family has chosen cremation in accordance to Mike’s wishes and will hold a Memorial Remembrance for him on Friday, Aug. 24, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home at 5:30 PM.  They will greet friends starting at 4:00 PM before the service.  “Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words, and will be missed beyond measure”.
